I dont wanna heat up my tails. So my question is, can I break apart the orange plastic and pull it out thru the bulb holes? I dont wanna try it unless I kno it can be done cuz I dont wanna drive around with broken orange tails :sad:
I was woundering the same thing, if i can just break or slide the orange pieace out
my guess is that breaking it out would be very difficult. Ther are all types of things that would get in the way of the tool you use to do the breaking, as well as get in the way of the broken pieces coming out. I definitely wouldn’t try it.
I don’t know why you’re so scared about taking them apart, its actually very easy. Just remove all the seals and the black piece on the end, then stick them in your oven. Once they are warm, start prying them apart, then stick them back in the oven to heat up again, and continue prying. The oven method is really safe, as long as you have an oven that has a low or warm setting on it. I believe i set mine to 200degrees, and there was not even a slight possiblity of them melting. In fact i ended up turning the oven up a little higher.
