Clicking noise on the front end

everytime i accelerate from 1st to 2nd to 3rd, there’s a clickeing noise and i can feel it. Is it the axle?

It could be, get under the car and have a look, that is the best way to find out. If you axel has a torn boot that is probably the problem.

Yup, u need new axles.

thanks guys. Thats gonna cost big bucks.

what if the noise isn’t that consistent. Its on and off. Should it be replaced anytime soon. Or should i wait till it happens all the time?

Its not consistent because u only hear it when ur car is rolling or u make left/right turns…Id get that fixed asap, cause if u wait for something to happen, that means ur axle broke and ur car will be sitting on the side of a road waiting to get towed cause its not drivable, u can get a set fairly cheap with lifetime warranties so if it ever happens again, u can just get a new set without getting charged.

yah i got my left side replaced and is coverd by warranty. Will it disqualify the warranty if my car is lowered?

I got mines at a local auto store, there werent any specific warranty restrictions, besides they dont ask and I dont tell, but having a lowered car attributes to axles going. I just get my axles and do the install myself.

asian buddha i am still in need of getting my axle swapped. But i dont know how to do it. If you could help me, or i can jason to help me, but i really want to give who does it something. Whats a reasonable price to help me change the axle?

Also where is the best place around seattle to get an axle and what axle exactly do i need?

Bro, I can still help u out with the axles but Im starting school again this week so planning is gonna be hard since I wont know when I’ll have the time, just keep in touch and we can get it done, I think Jason is still up for helping u also if u need. As for pricing, shops usually charge $100-150 dollars for labor for axle installation, but all the help that Ive done for members, Ive done for free so I wouldnt know how much to charge…I just feel good when I help people out…this week, Im lowering 2 cars before I go back to school so just let me know a weekend ur free…all I can say is the amount I’ll charge is too low to discuss…:naughty:

I got my lifetime warranty axles at the Northgate Schucks Auto Supply on Aurora. They have a local distributor that can get u the axle in hours of u calling it in so its more convienent. The passenger and drivers side axles are both different so u need to specify which one u need when u order them, I cant remember which one costs more than the other.

Thanh

you free at all this weekend? i am free when ever you are free

Im actually going to Canada with my friends to celebrate our last days of freedom before school starts but we can see about next weekend before the homework load gets unbearable. Which side axle do u need replacing? Or is it both?

Thanh

i think its only the drivers side, I only hear it majorly around right turns and very slightly around left, but barely on the left turns, like i hear one click

Yeah, no sweat, shouldnt take long at all. just email me at vietbubbletea@hotmail.com when u want to do it and I’ll see if I’ll be able to do it.
