Hey guys hope this is the right part of the forum to put this in. Okay so ive had my da for a few months and the climate control is slowing been giving me problems now when i go to change from like defrost to front vents or whatever it will not change the light goes but the air still come from the defroster. What can i do to fix this is it just to replace it also the ac light never comes on. Should i just replace them, is it difficult. Thanks in advance

A/C Climate Control
I used to have the push buttons in my old DAs, but never took the thing apart. However recently in my RS, which has the sliders, I took the whole thing apart because it wouldn’t switch from defrost to face/foot/etc…the cable was caught on something and I lined it back up and now it works…you may need to do that, but I am not sure how similar the 2 units are. I also know about a writeup on this site, it involves resoldering the connections for the buttons.
im having kind of the same prob i also have an rs and my knobs and the slider doesnt work very well haha
You could do what I did…it’s not that difficult to take the thing apart. If you want me to explain it, I will.
me too im having same problem…n when i tried to take apart i started breaking tabs in dash so i stopped…but i had ripped one from junkyard to put in place of bad one but since i couldnt take out i just threw back in garage…but i found that if i hold it n push it a billion times n hold it again it turns eventually…but i dnt know how to fix problem…cuz if some ones in car i look like a moron jabbin a button 50 times like im doin morris code
