Climate Control Lights

I took apart my climate control (the hot/cold switches and the different blow settings cover) to get to the light bulbs. I changed the bulb for the hot/cold switch and left the 2 blow setting bulbs alone. Now neither of them will illuminate. But the lights above the blow settings works (the lights above the switches you push) Did anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?
thanks

also does anyone know how to get to the a/c button light bulb?

The light bulbs may not be your problem. The soldered connections for parts like the climate control have been known to deteriorate over time and no longer make good connections. A visual inspection of the soldered connections will usually give you a good idea if they are OK or not.

They are easy to re-solder. This topic has been talked about before. I forget if the specific thread/tip about this was regarding the climate control, main fuel relay (MFR) or the integrated control unit (ICU).

where are these soldered connections located?

There is a teg tip on it here: http://g2ic.com/tegtips/interior/7.html
It doesn’t have any pictures so I’m not sure if it will be enough to tell you exactly where the soldered connections are or not.

It’s obvious once you start taking the unit apart.

If you’re using LEDs, try to take one of the bulbs out and turning it. The bulbs are polarized so sometimes they don’t work when one of them isn’t facing the right way. When u take the unit apart you’ll see a bunch of coneshaped connections on the bottom of the circuit board. I learned how to solder during this project. Not too bad.
