Climate control only blows hot air

OK so it’s been a while since I noticed hot air coming out of the vents when the climate control is off. I turned it all the way to cool and still. I noticed the lever on the heater valve wasn’t closing all the way so I replaced the valve.
Noticed it still didn’t close right so I adjusted the wire so it closed right.
Now after all that I still get warm air out the vents in all settings. It’s not hot just warmer than the air outside.
I did notice the cables have a bit of play under the dash so that’s why I had to adjust the wire at the valve.

Any idea’s or anything I missed?

Mine was stuck on cool (the knob), but found it was because I either pulled too much slack out of the cable or gave it too much at the valve.

yeah gave it a look and turned out the valve cable had to much slack. took it out and replaced the valve and adjusted the cable.
