Hi, I’ve tried searching for climate control removal but i couldn’t find much. I found one on here but the links to the pictures were all broken. Can someone point me in the right direction to removing it? If possible could it be taken off with out removal the dash? I’m just going to switch it up with some leds.
you pretty much have to remove the plastic grille/gauge/vent trim to get at the bulbs. at least for the climate control IIRC…though i might be getting confused with my old 89 civic.
its not an easy job, after you manage to get all the for mentioned stuff out of the way, you still have to unhook both cable. oh yeah and you have to do all of this with out breaking the little mounting tab. which btw is discontinued.
I highly recommend a helms for this job as well as lots of time and lots of patience

Thanks! I might just leave it alone until i am on break from school. Right now my car is not running, for i need to replace the clutch
it wont have cables if it’s an ls/gs/gsr. i find it pretty easy to remove. having a long philip screw driver helps. takes 5 min to remove.
I remember the climate control being a huge pain to remove on my 91 LS, had to contort my hands into all kinds of weird positions to do it.
^^ Agreed. I’ve also got a 91 LS and it seemed almost physically impossible to get the climate control unit out.
I’d be interested to know if I’m missing something. Maybe redtegra needs to do a writeup for the rest of us.
