Well…I found out my car makes a cluncking noise only on turns, in gear, under load…
So I replaced the driver and passenger side driveshafts to see if that would remedy the problem…No luck…It turns out that its my diff thats wearing out…The diff is no longer meshing together properly… :eek:
On my 2nd tranny the same thing happend…My diff blew…
I don’t beat on my car that much and am wondering if its juss me, are the B-SERIES tranny’s pretty weak or did i get a shitty used tranny…
I have a Centerforce DF clutch if that makes a difference…
Does ne one know if I should switch back to an OEM clutch???
Looks like I’ll be on my 3RD tranny now… :sad:

did your car have any vibrations (shake your seat & hood strength) coming from that area? i put a different passenger axle (made for what car i dunno) into my car & now my car shakes when i turn. i’m going to replace that axle back with my stock one once i get some new boots from acura but was wondering if it may be the problem that you described…i don’t think so but just making sure…

It only happens when i turn to the left…Starting to happen when I turn right now to…
And its ONLY under load or in gear…
qwkteg: As for shaking??? No…But I suggest u replace ur driveshaft…
you should maybe get you tranny rebuit with new parts. IMO i thing buying a wreckers tranny is risky. BTW you in van, im from richmond. lots of 604 G2s on this board.

Ah well…I got a 91 tranny today…Gonna slap that badboy in sometime this week =)
I have had 4 trannies in my teg, 1st stock ls tranny, then i went through 2 gsr trannies, now i have an XSi tranny, which so far is the only damn tranny that has held up, and i put my car through hell…BTW on all my trannies, the diffs have shattered the bell housing

My other two have worn out till there were metal chunks…But SHATTERING the bell housing…DAMN…:eek: :eek: :eek:
