ok so ive beeen having a dimming problem for a little bit, decided to replace the ground cable from the battery, grounded the wire in the same location and this is when i started having issues. i turn the ACC on, but whenever i turned 2 things on at once it would dim horribly or turn off(radio) so i thought my battery was dying, charged it for a night and today i went to back out of the garage, my idle would drop everytime i turn the lights. at this point i noticed my cluster said i was doing 130 mph, completely empty on gas, and temp gauge was as far up as it could go. shortly after i noticed this the car died and my speedo gauge caught fire(lol?):hyper:. i have no idea what could cause this any input is appreciated
i dont know if u already fixed the problem but i had the same exact problem with my da9 cuz sometimes it smelled liked something was burning and started melting my speedometer and everytime i turn on my lights it would start to bog down and turned off so i checked all my wiring i had two friends help me out we fixed all the wires that werent taped properly and it was still doing it so i checked my engine bay and found out that one of the ground cable that goes from the valve cover to the frame of the car wasnt grounded so as soon as i fixed that it stop doing it but the damage was already done so yeah.
