If you’re converting to LED, he’s a good thread on it…

If you buy from superbrightleds, you’ll need the following to convert the cluster + thermo controls…

2 x 194(cluster, uses existing sockets)
4 x T1.5(cluster, comes with sockets)
3 x 74(thermo, uses existing sockets)

That walk-through calls for 2 x T1.5 and 2 x 74 for the cluster…but the 74s DO NOT FIT in our little black bulb sockets. You have to force them in which expands the socket and causes it not to install properly, risking breakage and problems with contact. Either put them in the little brown sockets or just order the T1.5 instead, which come pre-socketed. Reflow the solder on the thermo-control PCB while you have it out, to fix the button/light issue you’re most likely suffering like the rest of us g2’ers…super easy fix, it’s in the Teg Tips on the main page under “Interior.”

If you’re not converting to LED, I would HIGHLY recommend it. I have converted almost every bulb on my car, apart from headlights and foglights of course, over to LED. Much less drain on the battery, I can leave my parking lights and/or hazards on for hours without the battery dying, and most of all the over-all look is much better. Just remember to order the flasher relay from SBL if you convert your signals over to LED, otherwise you’ll get fast-flash-syndrome. The biggest visual difference was the cluster conversion, I went with blue LED and it’s beautiful.
