cluster light.

if i were to red out my cluster and remove the top 2 bulbs that were supposely to light up the needles, will any thing happen? i.e. blown fuse, burn wires, etc, dued to having a short circuit. i really want to move it because its making the cluster really bright and i want to have a cluster effect where only the numbers light up and not the cluster…

my only options are to:
a- remove the top 2 bulbs.
b-taped off the piece where the light shines thru.
or
c-paint the bulbs black and put a few layers on it…lol

or if you guys have any other good ideas, please let me know…thanks

I had those top two bulbs unplugged for about 5 years with no ill-effects. I just recently put them back in and everything is fine.

You should be fine.

I am trying to figure out how to get the upper left light on in my SI cluster to function properly! Oh wells, No tach needle for me at this time!

why wouldn’t you want the needles to light up? i hate not being able to see mine just not gonna pull my whole thing out till i can figure out which damn led bulbs to order for my cluster/climate control cause i want to convert it over.

i really want my needles to glow like the 94+ integra but too bad ours is not like that…can i be able to put on the 94+integra needles?

It can be done. I did this on my 93 accord, let me find a spare cluster then I’ll start working on
them next.

Okckat- I’d love a copy of the write up on how to do that to a cluster.

Seconded. I want to do LEDs in my gauge cluster but I don’t know for sure what the bulb types are. Although if this can be done, I’d definitely hack up my cluster to do this. This looks freakin’ sweet

Me too…I third this motion!
