CLutch assmbly....HELP!

i got an ITR flywheel, it has 5 threaded holes in it for the pressure plate to screw into…th 3 dowel pins fit correctly to the press plate, but…the press plate looks like it has 9 holes in it for 9 bolts to pass threw it into the flywheel the 5 flyweel hles do match up to the pess plate, will the remaining 4 press plate hol be ok? do u get what im asking…some flywheels have all 9 threaded holes such as BR’sclutchmaster, HELP

If you use an ITR flywheel you have to use the ITR clutch to go with it. The regular b-series clutch wont work with an ITR flywheel…

hey man, please replace the return spring on the tranny. i just redid my clutch because the spring went out and the throwout bearing got stuck on the pressure plate resulting in a mashed diaphram. the part is only 3 bucks from the dealer so its a must. cost me a couple hundered because i didn’t know about it.

br, i’m running the itr flywheel on a b-series clutch (centerforce dual friction). i didn’t have any problems…

Did you get all 9 bolts for the clutch in?? I was under the assumption that the ITR flywheel had to be installed with the ITR clutch. Or did you get the ITR centerforce?? Let me know your setup please.

i’m sorry br, i’m not as an advanced wrencher as you are, so i wasn’t up to the task on my clutch install–as a result, i can’t tell you from personal experience if all 9 holes line up with the clutch. but the pressure plate fit fine. it was my understanding that the clutch on the itr and my gsr were different, too, but i just got the dual friction that was made for my 92 gsr. check it out.

perhaps g2guru dan would best answer the question for all of us? again, sorry br.

Did you get the centerforce clutch disk and pressure plate or just the disk?? Perhaps I will ask Dan about this one, just to make sure.
I do assume that since you got it to work that it should be fine, that is unless you couldnt get some of the bolts to line up right…

i got the dual friction–that includes the pressure plate and clutch disk. if you find out the specifics, i’d like to know about it, too, if you don’t mind br. i’ll be checking up on this thread for any developments. :slight_smile:
