clutch cable part number, and gsr cable brackets

I have a few quick questions.
Flame if you want, my search turns up a bunch of how to adjust or replace the cable, but no part numbers.

  1. 22910-SK7-A80 is ths the part number for the clutch cable? I want OEM as I have a double sprung pressure plate. Car is a 92 ls if it matters

  2. Does the OEM come with the sleeve as well, or just the cable? My cable is actually not broken, it just needed adjusted too far and the sleeve shattered. (it was probably stretched anyway and the cause for the adjustment.

  3. I swapped to a b16, does anyone sell the GSR cable brackets, or those strictly a ‘find someone parting out a gsr’ affair? I found one pic request thread, and the pics weren’t very good in there. I’m not fond of leaving my cable loose to flop around, but I will if these are impossible to find.

Thanks guys

For the part number, just use any of the online Acura parts dealers. I prefer http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/jsp/home.jsp

I replaced my 91 LS clutch cable recently and it does include the sleeve and everything.

I don’t know about the cable brackets, again, you could try an online parts dealer.

92-93 GSR Clutch cable part number: 22910-SK7-A80
90-94 RS/LS/GS Clutch cable part number: 22910-SK7-A02

They’re identical except for the sheath around the cable and how it is designed to work with the clutch cable bracket. But that’s the only difference. And yes, it’ll come complete the cable isn’t multiple parts.

As for the brackets, you’re most likely S.O.L. Those GSR specific brackets are no longer available from the dealer and finding a used set is next to impossible. It can be done, but I know a friend who has been looking for a spare set for years. Finally I broke down and gave him mine in trade for some valve springs. You don’t need the brackets, but they are nice if you plan on keeping the stock routing of the cable. However a lot of us choose to reroute the cable under the intake manifold because it gives a cleaner look to the engine bay.

thanks guys,

I ended up buying a new oem honda cable for an ef.
I’m flat broke and the acura one lists $15+ higher, and I tracked down a guy that I knew worked at Honda and asked for a discount hookup. Got it for $40

It was a little bit different, but since I don’t have the brackets it worked just fine.
I still don’t like the cable loose in the bay, I may try and route it below the intake mani as I saw a few people here suggest.
It just sticks up when you pop the hood and I don’t want to have to worry about crushing or bending it when I close the hood.

If anyone else wants to do the same, part number from Honda is 22910-SH3-A05

what do these brackets look like? i have a machine shop remember  i could manufacture if it’d be worth it for people… maybe have to look into this a bit more
