Clutch??? Flywheel??? Or something else???

I have a 92 GSR that I just bought. I was getting racing a friend of mine today and everytime I shifted I would shift at 8000 and after i shifted into the next gear the RPM’s would stay at 8000, and basically i would get not power until it went back down which was like 5 seconds after i shifted. My friend and I both agreed that it was probably the clutch, but then I went home ands looked at the reciept for the rebuilt tranny that is in my car and it said that at 107000 they put in a new clutch in but it also said that at the time the flywheel was working fine so they did nothing to the flywheel. So, is the problem I just described sound like one caused by a bad flywheel?? and if so what am i looking at in cost of repairs?
sorry for the long post but any help would be very much appreciated.

By the way the car now has 113000 miles on it.

Come on guys doesn’t anyone have anything to say?

do you smell anything when you are driving? was the flywheel resurfaced before the clutch was put back in if not its probably:gun2: if you do smell something burning the clutch is gone. also check the clutch cable to see if its tight.:stuck_out_tongue:

my clutch had same symptoms for last 2 days and it absolutly went out last night at like 9 at night  so, $497 later, i have a clutch masters stage 3 clutch on order.
