Thanks everyone for the compliments on my tool wall. I try to stay as organized as possible. And Jason is right, I have MANY more tools in my rollaway tool box next to the work bench.
And yes, the work bench is GREEN and the color is fairly close to Leif’s car. Your guys attention to detail is crazy!!! I don’t think I even noticed and it’s my GARAGE!
The flywheel bolts are 12 point 17mm bolts that need to be torqued to 76ft-lbs. And yes, you need a ring gear holder for the flywheel to do that.
Qwkteg, that is a SWEET Snap on bench. Is that in your home or at a shop that you have access to? I couldn’t imagine how much that would cost .
Leif, here is a shot of the inside of the bell housing of the transmission which has the throwout bearing and release fork.
Leif and I had a blast working on his car. When your working with friends on cars, it always seems more fun that actual work. Leif, you’ll have to let me know what you think of it the first time your really drop the clutch. I wish I could see your eyes get all big from the astonishment . hehehehehe.
If anyone has any questions in regards to a clutch install, don’t hesitate to e-mail me. I’m always happy to help.

i see green:shock:
Leif, i had that same setup in my ride… ACT extreme PP and organic hybrid clutch disc, throw out and pilot bearings… after you get that thing installed you get grip like nothing… you’d beable to pull a third and fourth gear scratch… (not that youd wanna do that) you might get “ACT clutch leg” from that hard clutch but its all worth it i was going turbo also but my plans were sharply cut short  you will be very happy with that setup

Yes, thanks Dan, I needed that pic. Now I remember how everything works. It’s all coming back to me:)

yeah right that bench is at my house, i wish!!! no my friend has a very well equipped shop & he is nice enough to let me have access to it whenever i need. believe me, once you’ve worked on a car while it is up on a lift, you will never want to go back to jackstands again!!!

Yeah, I know. I have the opportunity to work on my car at a honda dealership from time to time at one of their workstations and I have full use of their lifts, tools, and oil if I need it. I wish I had one of those in my garage…
