Hey yesterday I was driving and for some old reason I didn’t prush the clutch in to downshift(foot sliped and press the brake pedal), but it still went into gear very smoothly. I was at like 2.5k-3k when it happen. After I stop the car and check everything like cable and twisty thingy. The car still drive look it did before but I’m scared I messed something up :bawl:
You got lucky and got the car in gear when the transmission and engine were spinning @ the same speed. You can actually drive the car without the clutch if your match revs.

Ditto. Clutch merely accounts for the 99.9% probability that your not at the exact right gear shift moment, but when both parts are spinning in synch, it’s not a prob. It’s easiest to do this going from 3rd-4th, but not recommended anytime because most of the time it’ll grind or lurch.
