code 43--evap canister?

threw a code 43 this morning on the way to work, found a hose going from the intake manifold to the canister disconnected, anyone think that could throw the code? and after I threw the code right away it would start then immediately die, but if you started it again it would keep running? Im kinda at a loss and dont want to blindly replace things…main fuel relay?

If you don’t want to blindly replace things, did you search to see what CEL 43 refers to? And what others who have had this code do to solve the problem?

yeah I searched and read all morning, but it seems like nobody has good answer, I was hoping someone had seen this exact problem rather than starting with the FPR, then on to the MFR, then the O2 sensor, the to little things like the PCV valve and fuel filter, I will probably replace the PCV valve and fuel filter tonight and see if that helps any, and reconnect that hose (which was too short to get a good grip on the barb) then it will be on to spend $175 for the FPR and MFR:dozing:

if you figure out what made your car a code 43 please post why cause i have same code for a long time now with no soultion and also can not find and good solid answers thanks

I re-attatched that Throttle body vacuum line and reset the computer and I have not had a code since, keeping an eye on it though I highly doubt that was it:down:
