Coil over question, please help out.

OK, I’ve been reading on g2ic.com search portion on how to install coil-overs. but I still have a question unanswered.

for the front suspension, when i put the coilovers over the strut, do I still use the stock spring???

I bought coil-overs from a performance store and they are made by: Toms Motorsport

and about the rear, do I use the stock spring too??? how is it installed in the rear.

I understand that this must have been answered a lot of times, but plesae help me out, cause I’ll be putting mine on my teg this week.

once you get it apart it’ll probably make a lot more sense
no you do not use the stock springs they should be gone compltely

the coilovers should come with a new shorter spring and a metal collar that goes between the strut and the spring.
the collar will have an adjustable perch on it that the spring sits on.
the collar goes on the bottom

Gigarange couldnt have made it any better, same as i could say, go with what he said, they come with shorter, higher tensioned springs

wade:clap:

I didn’t instal them yet, because I have to help my frined get his car to start then I can use his garage to put them in.

As far as I know bump stops have nothing to do with bouncing…that’s just my opinion though.

he probably meant that since he forgot to cut his bumpstops, his car would hit the bumpstops on bumps, making the car look and feel bouncy.
