Coilover suspensions

Anyone using coilover suspensions, like Tien, Tokiko, JIS? If so, could you please tell me how you fit the struts and what part numbers. Also, how do they ride? This is not a question about Skunk2 or Arospeed type adjustable spring perches. I’m asking about true coilover suspension. Thanks!

I’m rolling on the Tein HA’s for a ITR 8K/6K rates. Bought them from www.Machiii.net I used EG/DC front forks, and JDM DA rear LCA’, to mount them . Also i’m running the Tein upper pilo mounts as well. talk about squeaky!!! purchased the LCA’s from RyanK on this board. Installed fine… simple R&R. i’ll have pics up soon… been meaning too… streetwise its an awesome set up, pricey yah, but compared to say a truechoice set up… it was worth it to me IMO. and the adjustablity of dampening is just awesome… not too comfy for passengers when i it set for "spirited"driving and attacking the twistys of my local moutains has never been more fun… ( now i just need new brakes :frowning: ) but for everyday street driving just set it to where you feel your bones won’t brake and your a$$ will not be sore. JDM LCA’s

Are the JDM LCA’s like the ITR’s where the strut mounts inside the LCA instead of straddling it? How much did you pick up the front forks for? Does the suspension geometry change? Any pics?

What kind of grinding do you have to do to the JDM DA LCA’s to make them fit/work?

i got the front forks for free:D geometry change? i can;t tell a difference

u don;t grind the LCA’s, they bolt up fine… u grind the shock itself… on the lower part of it, where it fits in the LCA by like 1/2mm-1mm. i just kept gringding off lil by lil till it fit perfectly snug… man was i sweating when i was doing this:D here’s some installed pics…

i thought id bring this back, if i bought a tien suspension would i need the JDM LCAs?
