any1 know where to get that coin box that flips out from under the dash on the drivers side ? thanks…

dealer? or for sale forums. you break it or something?

ive looked at the online dealer site and i couldnt find it , i bought my car with it missing , now i gotta keep the change in the ashtray and it rattles a freakin lot

junkyard man

what color?

looked at the yard , no luck , and its black

i have a black one extra that is missing a noob. it is good for looks. i put a piece of tape on the back and it will stay in there right but it is not functional. i got a new black tray coin holder also.

damn bro i wanted a functional one cuz i hate the change sloshing in the ashtray around the curves

give a try on the “for sale” section of the forum, thats where i found one. look for a “coin tray”

Years ago I posted up a way of fixing the coin holder if the tabs had been broken off. All of the ones I found in wrecking yards were broken, so I just fixed the original one.

In case the post has disappeared, I used perspex and bolts to permanently attatch the coin tray to the panel sitting underneath the steering wheel. It’s been around 2 years now and still going strong.

no pics, be creative!

That’s really easy to fix… just screw in a really small screw that’s about the size of the original knob. When you do that you’re good to go!

sweet! thanks…

Just to add to Redteg’s post, I took out the existing “noobs” and epoxied wooden dowels in their place, used a dremel to remove the noobs and abit more so the dowels would fit, then drilled a small pilot hole for some screws, and reattachet it that way. Since doing this, I have inadvertently hit it with my knee about 10 times really hard (hit it hard enough to hurt my knee abit) and it has not fallen off. The reason I did it this way, was one of the noobs had broken off to the point I could not screw anything into what was left.

HTH.
