coin tray removal:

I’ll post pics on how to fix if the tabs have snapped off it this weekend. Its not too hard and it’ll save you a bit of money (and save you having it break ever again)

…ok look, if anyone wants to tackle it now, I’ll try to explain how i fixed it

  1. Remove the remaining tab (just snap or dremel it off, dont chuck it!)

  2. Grab a thin sheet of perspex (or metal or something) and, looking inside the tray, cut two small triangular pieces which will fit in the back corners, covering the bits where the tabs used to be. (I used 3mm perspex and ground it a bit thinner)

  3. Dummy the 2 bits of perspex in place, and mark on them the approximate location of the original tab which fit into the trim piece (use the original tab if you still have it!)

  4. Drill through the perspex in either location, and glue them to the INSIDE of the tray

  5. Take off the panel the tray fits into (3 screws)

  6. Using 2 small nuts and bolts, as well as washers, align the tray and bolt through the holes you just drilled. Put the washers between the tray and the panel so the tray doesnt move horizontally.

  7. Use your discretion to tighten the bolts, dont do them up too tight, but not too loose.

And there you go. You could rest your foot in the tray and it wont break off! It was the most permanent way I could think of fixing this.

Hehe, maybe this can be a teg tip, I know it isnt anything critical, but I just wanted my car to be perfect. Holla if you need clarification
