XDEep- are you telling me you’d put boston’s off deck power! what a complete waste of money. an 800 pair of bostons will sound no differnet than a 200 pair of infinity’s off deck power. you will not get the what you pay fou out of high end speakers w/o having an amp on them, which this guy is not. so in that case, why would you reccomend bostons or mb’s? remember there’s 2 different answers - what’s the best and what’s the best for a particular application. you’re right as far as best goes, but best for this guy’s application you’re waaaaaaaaay off.

biggest audio mistake by almost everyone and im sure you agree- not purchasing the good equipment first. and usually it only costs a little more but is 10x worth it in the long run.
i dunno if expensive comps will sound no different off deck power, but probably minimal. i wouldnt even use comps unless you were planning on amps in the future. the point is purchase good stuff first. not extravagant competition like focal, but idq/dei is affordable and way better. realistically id never fork out for even mbq or bostons.
finally, im not saying omit infinity and buy idq/dei and nothing else, but go out there and listen if you can, and youll see how you can get much better stuff for the same if not just a bit more. these i think are golden rules that just make common sense.
hey guys, thanks for the advise. I actually agree with both of you!!!
No.1 XDEp point that what is best for me may not be best for everyone… and this means that he is considerate and honest in his openion
No.2 gen2ls/vtec has showed me where to go and what to look for in order for me to establish my reference line.
I’ll be honest with you guys, if I haden’t looked at the high end speakers, I wouldn’t fully understand the product I’m buying! Both of you have given me great advise and I have made up my mind to get the Infinity 605cs. If I get the amp in the future, I’ll be shifting them to the back and getting the better ones for the front.
thanks for both of you I understand now exactly what I need and when I need it.
Ciao…
not to once again beat a dead horse, but Dan…your car is so beautiful…make one for me too… Excellent job as usual
