Comprehensive List/Collection of Front Lips offered for the DA chassis, with PICTURES

The purpose of this thread is to educate, and also serve as a record of what Front Lips were offered for the ’90-93 Integra Chassis.

Credit is given to the photographers and owners of the vehicles when applicable. I DO NOT claim ownership or affiliation to any of the photos here, except for the ones of my own personal car.

All photos are hosted on my personal PhotoBucket account, so there should be no issues of outages or disappearing photos.

Anyone who finds their photo or car here is encouraged, if so inclined, to have me remove their photo. Just get in touch with me and I’ll take care of it.

First and foremost is the ’90-91 OEM Factory Lip:

Next is the ’90-91 OEM Optional Lip. This lip was offered as Optional Equipment, and part of an entire Lip Kit which consisted of the Front Lip, Rear Lip, and Sideskirts:

Next up is the quite undocumented Hiro Lip for the ’90-91 Front Bumper:

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/90-91HiroFrontLip.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

ChargeSpeed released a Front Lip for the ’90-91, called the Type-1:

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/90-91ChargeSpeed-BuddyClubType1FrontLip2.jpg”}[/IMG2]

ChargeSpeed released another version of lip for the ’90-91 called the Type-2, also sometimes referred to as the BuddyClub:

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/90-91ChargeSpeed-BuddyClubType2FrontLipjpg.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/90-91ChargeSpeed-BuddyClubType2FrontLip.jpg”}[/IMG2]

Here is a Front Bumper Cover, made by Kaminari, for the ’90-91 Chassis:
[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/90-91KaminariFrontBumperCover.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

Next, there is a very rare and uncommon Bumper Cover for the ’90-91, by Sigma Auto:

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/90-91SigmaAutoFrontBumperCover.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/90-91SigmaAutoFrontBumperCover2.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

Up next is the equally rare, but more documented USRacing Front Lip for the ’90-91 chassis:
Thanks to wingbox for this one

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/90-91USRacingFrontLip.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/90-91USRacingFrontLip-2.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/90-91USRacingFrontLip-3.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

Then, we have the Mugen Front Bumper cover for the ’90-91 Chassis:

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/90-91MugenFrontBumperCover.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/90-91MugenFrontBumperCover3.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

There have been NUMEROUS companies that have copied this bumper cover set. It consisted of the Front Bumper Cover, the Sideskirts and also a Rear Bumper Cover.
Here, is one of those copies, a Wing West RS “Mugen Style” Bumper Cover:

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/90-91WingsWestRS-MugenStyleFrontBumperCover.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

Many eBay companies sell, what they call, a “Mugen Style Front Lip”… Here is the ’90-91 version. This is all a sham, and a fake. Mugen never offered a Front Lip for our cars… only the Bumper Cover which I listed earlier. This has NOTHING to do with Mugen. They’re just making money off of using the name.

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/90-91EbayMugenStyleFrontLip.jpg”}[/IMG2]

[B]Then there are the JDP Engineering Front Lips.

Here is the OEM Factory Style Front Lip for the ’90-91:[/B]

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/90-91JDPEngineeringOEMFactoryStyle.jpg”}[/IMG2]

Here is the OEM Optional Style Front Lip for the ’90-91:

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/90-91JDPEngineeringOEMOptionalStyle.jpg”}[/IMG2]

[B]That just about sums it up for the ’90-91 Integra.

Now, we’ll get into what was/is out there for the ’92-93.

First up is the OEM lip that came on the ’88-89 Gen1 Integra. This is NOT a direct fit, modification is necessary for it to mount up.[/B]

Here it is on the very well-known, beautiful DA of Dustin/Teg Youngin:

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/88-89OEMLip.jpg”}[/IMG2]

Next, the OEM Front Lip that was a very common factory option for the ’92-93:

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/92-93OEMFrontLip.jpg”}[/IMG2]

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/IMAG2238.jpg”}[/IMG2]

[B]Next, I’ll cover the JDP Engineering line-up.

JDP Engineering OE1 Front Lip for the ’92-93 Chassis:[/B]
Thanks to DB2Red for this one

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/92-93JDPOE1FrontLip.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

Then there is the JDP Engineering OE2 Front Lip:

Thanks to Phillipe/CrippyBlunt for this one

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/92-93JDPEngineeringOE2FrontLip-2.jpg”}[/IMG2]

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/92-93JDPEngineeringOE2FrontLip.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

And lastly, the ‘Duct Style’ JDP Engineering Front Lip:

Thanks to Jerimiah. IG: @MIAH_10:

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/92-93JDPOEDuctStyle.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

Now, for the very rare and little-known ChargeSpeed for the ’92-93:

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/92-93ChargeSpeedFrontLip.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

Probably more rare than the first, is the Hiro Front Lip for the ’92-93:

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/92-93HiroFrontLip.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/92-93HiroFrontLip-2.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

Kaminari came back with a Front Bumper REPLACEMENT for the ’92-93 Chassis:

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/92-93KaminariFrontBumperReplacement1.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/92-93KaminariFrontBumperReplacement4.jpg”}[/IMG2]

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/92-93KaminariFrontBumperReplacement5.jpg”}[/IMG2]

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/92-93KaminariFrontBumperReplacement2.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

Kaminari also came back with a Front Bumper Cover for the ’92-93:

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/92-93KaminariBumperCover.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/92-93KaminariFrontBumperCover2.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

This one is the Wings West RS Front Lip for the ’92-93:

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/92-93WingWestRSFrontLip.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

Here is a “Type-R Style” eBay Front Lip for the ’92-93. Very common:

[IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x327/Unified11/92-93Type-RStyleFrontLip.jpeg”}[/IMG2]

Mugen never offered a Front Lip for our cars… only the Bumper Cover which I listed earlier. This has NOTHING to do with Mugen. They’re just making money off of using the name:

That just about covers it for the majority of the lips offered for our 1990-1993 2nd Gen Integras.

Please let me know of any mistakes or corrections that need to be made.

Thanks for the collection. Make sure to keep these picture links available.

This is awesome Sean, thanks for putting it together! I do have one small correction…

The one pictured above is not a Signal Auto bumper, it’s actually a Kaminari. The car was owned by a member named “Kuni” who was active in the OG days circa 2000. I always liked his car. Unfortunately I’m not aware of whether or not Sigma made a lip / half bumper cover for the 92-93.

Nice work putting this together!

I’ll get this out of the way… archivethis

Most definitely!

You are the second one to tell me that this was not a Sigma. Apparently Kaminari made 2 different bumpers for the '92-93?

Trying to get further confirmation on this, but I really love the feedback and input so far.

I want this to be a good database for the OG lips for our cars. Im not terribly concerned with the eBay stuff.

Thankya sir :wink:

Unfortunately I’m not certain. Do you have any evidence that the one on the DB2 from the HondaTuning article is actually a Kaminari other than that’s what the article says? They may have had two versions but that just seems odd to me. It might be likely the one on that DB2 is not a Kaminari. Hopefully someone can confirm.

That white one under the sigma is a kaminari bumper replacement while the red kaminari is a bumper cover type.

So they did in fact make two styles for 92-93? Do you have any further documentation? Their website doesn’t mention two styles, but obviously one could just be discontinued.

I’ll chime in about the Chargespeed Lips; there was 2 model for the 90-91. I can’t say for the 92-93.

The one shown above, which is often called the BuddyClub Lips is the Type 2. Here’s the Type 1 that I own:

Sorry for the bad quality, you can use the pic in your original post, no problem.

Hope this help.

Nice any more info on that? Uber rare…

More pics of this canadian car…sweet ride… hiro or pancake?

Updated and corrected.

Awesome thread Sean! Really helpful!

Awesome thread. Now we just need one for side skirts.

Sean!! Great work!
I have to say that the 3rd picture (Eriks red car) is NOT a chargespeed/buddy club lip. It is a US RACING LIP. He has both so im sure why you confused them. They look similar but the USR has the indention dip like in the center.

^Funny, I was just noticing that yesterday but wasn’t 100% sure as I’m not too familiar w/ those two lips.

Thanks for the correction wingbox… and the error just HAD to be on that USR lip, right?! :bang:

After staring at them for 3 days straight and labeling etc, I simply got careless on that one.

Edited and corrected.

Please let me know of any other discrepancies! I’d like this to be as correct as possible.

lmao!!!
Us racing lip FTW!

Correction on the Kaminari bumper cover replacement on the white DA and silver blue one (actually mine even though the pics were jacked ;)).

Even though it uses the 92-93 bumper lights, you need a USDM 90-91 bumper reinforcement or source any JDM version with the corresponding bumper blocks.

The red one just goes right over the 92-93 bumper.

Wow this is awesome. Good work man! This should be archived for future reference.
