Exactly! I think Max needs to put Mango in the garage, pickup that VW (I can’t believe I’m actually suggesting someone by a VW…) and finally make Mango a garage queen!

I actually miss driving my car too (can’t register it in the U.S. anymore after much exhaustive research trying to) but I may insure it with BC plates again for a couple of months in the summer so I have something fun to drive besides what I’m using now in the mean time. I really don’t want to sell the DA, but it’s no longer out of the question anymore as it once was.

thats the thing; the white thing (the actual motor?) squeals everynow and then…and it is a VERY annoying squeal…metal on metal type sound. almost like worn brake pads…so…how much u want for urs? =)
Colin - After some nice sunshine and mango’s motor (while ignoring all other problems) being in a good mood…some good tunes and some spirited driving…the love came back…hahaha

Some updates from this past weekend, basically fiberglassed in the glove box area … had to get creative and used some arbrite my dad had kicking around to hold the shape, worked perfectly with some carnauba wax as a release agent! haha … some minor shaping around the top and I can start to recover the dash … pics:

Updates … got some more dash work done, I will never do any dash upholstery again!! Not fun haha. Anywho, pics of progress:
Still some imperfections to work out, as like I said the tough spots suck! I was ready to throw it in the garbage and buy a used dash at one point lol …
Also picked up some new rubber! Nitto 555’s
Next will be cleaning up edges on the dash etc, prepping for the other gauges, and reinstalling it in the car. Thanks for looking!
The dash is looking good! I can’t imagine having suede on the dash though. When you clean your car you’re going to have to vacuum a pattern into it like carpet.

Thanks Ryan … although it looks better in the pics! haha … the area on top to the right of the center vent (corner) has 3 wrinkles that would not smooth out, so they’re now ‘dash venturis’ haha. Pissed me off! Had to walk away and put everything down before I smashed the damn thing lol. As for the suede, I’m not sold 100% on it either, but too late now (was using it to match the steering wheel I want). We’ll see how it ends up!

yea man im around. More into the road race stuff now with my miata.
The DA looks like the kid hasnt washed the wheels since he bought it…black fender, no fogs…1 pieces are completely fogged. big ass dent in the quarter panel. Just ridiculous, if i could do it over again, I would’ve turned it into my track car. I just didn’t want to at the time, because i thought the car was too nice.
