Just out of curiosity, what would my compression ratios be with the following setups:
a) B18A Block, CTR pistons + B16A Head
b)B18A block, JDM ITR pistons + B16A head
c) B18C1 Block w/CTR pistons + ITR head
d) B18C1 block w/ JDM ITR pistons + GSR head
Any information will be greatly appreciated. TIA

i couldn’t calculate the first two because i’m not sure of the piston-deck height when making an ls/vtec. You’ll have to find that out.

I use this calculator as well Colin and was never sure about this part for an ls/vtec or crvtec. I usually calculate the p:d height for each scenario and try to average it. Is this accurate?
i really have no idea. i have pretty limited engine knowledge, so i’d suggest asking one of the guys who really knows what they are talking about.
now, i have not run any calculations myself, but i have been told:
my B18A (ls) block, CTR pistons, and B18c1 head=11.7:1 (ish)
sounds resonable, b18c combustion chamber is smaller than the b16, which is what i was going to go with. this setup will yeild higher compression than the b16 head.
