Compression ?

Does anyone know the exact compression with this setup:

B18C1 Block
B16A Head
B16A Headgasket (Separate Middle Section)

Would it be close to stock GSR compression? I’m thinking it will be close to around 10.1 or 10.2. I want to be as close or higher than a stock GSR compression. My plans of JDM P73 pistons fell through since I ran out of money.

so, basically you won’t be able to tell a difference.

One of my friend’s said that you will feel a noticeable drop in performance because of the compression. Maybe I will try to drop the ITRs in.

if you use the b18c1 block, b16a head, and stock headgasket you will drop down to 10.8:1 compression. I seriously doubt you’d be able to feel the 1-3hp you’d lose. if you remove the middle layer of the head gasket like you said, then you’ll be back up to 10.0:1, and end up not loosing any hp, because the compression would stay the same.

the only place you’re going to lose some power is the cams. the b16a cams are known for being the weakest vtec cams out there. I guess even swapping to some b18c1 cams should yeild a couple hp (don’t think its a bolt on 5-10hp!! cause its really only a couple).
