i recieved the chip but do not know how to install it

Take a look at this thread, then post back if you have specific questions. If you don’t have any soldering experience, then don’t attempt to install the chip yourself. If so, get yourself a 28-pin IC socket if your Mugen EPROM didn’t come with one. It will make reverting back to stock easier in the future.
