Computer recording software

I know there are quite a few people on here who are really good with computers so I figured I would ask. I’m trying to make a training presentation for my Volunteer FD on how complete an incident report on our software. After working through a PowerPoint I figured a more effective way to do this would be to walk them through it by recording myself (with narration) completing a report. This would be easier because I could send it out via email and everyone could watch it at home whenever they wanted and refer back to it if needed.

Therefore, does anyone recommend a specific program (free or $$) that does a good job of recording computer actions with narration?? I have seen some free ones online all over the place but the quality seems crappy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

My work uses Camtasia: http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.html

power point is actually pretty good if you learn the in’s and out’s.

Alright, thanks for the input. It looks like pretty good quality and user friendly.
