So the motor went out on my a/c fan. Does anyone know if the motor in the rad fan and the a/c fan are both the same? Like could I buy a motor thats for the rad fan and use it in the a/c fan? Thanks…
i would just go to a yard and get an ac fan. they are like 10 bucks if that.
The condenser fan motor is shorter since it has to compete for space with the exhaust manifold. A rad fan motor will likely be too long to fit in the available space.
I believe the condenser fan is shared with a certain year range of Accord. I’m not sure which, unfortunately.
eh, i like the junk yards but for this id rather have a new one.
i see your point on the space issue for it is right next to the headers.
does anyone know how often a rad. fan control module goes bad? i mean the car is 16yrs old and anything could go wrong. i just dont want to spend the $$$ on a module and that not even be the main problem why my fans arent working at all. i know the a/c fan motor is bad, but before that the fans werent running at all. ive got the rad fan hooked up to a switch right now so i know it works. the only thing i havent tried yet is a new oil temp switch…could that be the source…
May someone in the electrical section could help diagnose/troubleshoot your relays-modules-wiring-motor health, etc… I know in the FSM it has a nicely detailed troubleshooting list.:whisper:
ive got an integra manual for my car, ive looked it over and over and over. finally got my mechanic buddy to help me diagnose it and we are both thinking its the rad fan control module but im not 100% sure…so i dunno…
