Converting from OBD0 to OBD1

Hey guys,

I’m going through a ground up rebuild on my DA. The car that I have is a 91 obd0 with an AUTOMATIC transmission (that I’m swapping a obd1 ls/v into). I’m planning on converting to manual, and a guy I know has an obd1 DA that he’s parting out (With manual transmission).

I’ve read all over that I can just get a jumper harness to run obd1, but I’d also have to modify the wiring to run a manual tranny, and modify the wiring for the distributor. So in an essence, I figure the reasonable thing to do it just swap the wiring out completely. I know it will be more time consuming, but a solid OEM wiring makes me feel alot better than hacking apart my current one. I’m pulling my entire interior so thats a non-issue.

A few questions:

What are the differences between obd0 and obd1 harness for these DA’s? I don’t have cruise, ac or anything fancy. So will all my sensors plug and play accordingly?

Thanks!

P.S. - I’ve been searching g2ic, clubintegra, honda-tech, jdmcity and google for 6 hours now. Nobnody ever states solid that they did this with no issues.

You kinda just figure things out and things make more sense as you go along with your work. But rywire has a kit for that! it was like 190 when i bought it. the kit comes with the ecu adapter, distributor adapter, and vtec wires.
you’ll only want to use that ecu from the obd1 DA if it’s a vtec car, you can pick a like a pr3 ecu, pr another vtec ecu pretty cheap.
