coolant leak

I’ve got a small, slow coolant leak on the drivers side and I think its near the crankshaft pulley. I haven’t been able to get under it to get a good look at it. Can I assume its the water pump or is there anything else near there that could develop a leak? It only has 114000 kms on it (about 68000 miles). Would a water pump go already? My dads Maxima went twice that before it needed to be replaced. It also only seems to leak when the block heater is plugged in, but the block heater is on the front of the engine near the dipstick so I doubt if its leaking.

one way to make sure that it’s the water pump (most likely)…
rev your motor hard couple of times and see if coolant squirts down under the crank pulley area.

That doesn’t always work. Mine has a noticeable leak and nothing more, and that test wouldn’t do anything for that. BTW, I have 136K miles. Because of the age of your car, 68K miles really doesn’t matter. The gasket just hardens and wears out - it’s normal. I’ve seen a couple 30K mile G1 & G2 Integra’s have the same problem and the timing belts had small weather checks in them from old age and lack of use.
