Crane or Crower

Just wondering, I’ve heard alot on the crower cams and just about everyone I know of uses them but just wondering if anyone has any experience with the crane cams. Thanks.

I’m actually watching a set of stage 2 cranes on ebay. I know that for small and big block chevy’s and fords they are a household name. Kinda like Skunk2 for us. So it’s probably safe to assume that their quality isn’t compromised when making their sport compact cams. :smiley:

I’de imagine not, I was just wondering how they performed. It says on a couple sites you can use the stock valve springs(not that I wouldn’t change them anyways) as opposed to crower needing to replace them. So I was assuming they were a little less agressive and hence probly netted less power.

with the Stage1 crowers you can use the stock valvetrain. I am going to be getting a set of these in the mail later this week.

i’ve got a set of crower stage 1’s sitting right beside. they are wrapped up in towel right beside my computer lol. waiting to be installed soon, just waiting on the cam seals from the dealer and the BDL Cam Plug i ordered.

Are those crowers for an ls b18a1? If so, where did you get them? I’ve checked their website and a few others too. I can’t seem to find a place that has them available. All I find are VTEC cams.

there you go. all you had to do was select what kind of motor you had in the upper right hand portion of the page :wink: i remember when i was looking up the specs of the stage 1’s when i bought them and couldn’t find them for anything. then i noticed that area in the upper right and was like

Thanks alot man. I was also thinkin of replacin’ the pistons too. Any suggestions? Lookin for around 150-170 wheel horse power at end o’ build.

174 all motor ls daily driven? How’s that working out, I’ve heard that much all
motor would be having dependability issues.
