Creaking noise while turning?

When turning, sometimes my car will make a creaking/humming noise when I turn, it will go away when I straighten wheels, and will become more pronounced the further the wheels are turned. It does this rarely, but when it does it is loud and somewhat embarrasing, any ideas?

power steering pump?

Could be outer CV joint too…

Could be wheel bearings…

if it’s humming it has to be conituous movement (maybe wheel bearing, cv joints…etc…)

If it’s creeking, it could be almost anything…springs, frame (let’s hope it’s not this)…etc…

i believe the noise you are talking about…my car does the same thing…but it only does it when its cold…and not all the time…my friend was in the car w/ me one night when it happened…did it for like 2 seconds…i asked him what it was…and he says it was just the brakes freeing up…cause they kinda freezed a bit w/ the cold weather…thats what he had said to me…

did you check to see if you had any power steering fluid? i was pretty low and it sounded like a dog wimpering.

does it sound like it’s coming from the front or the back? and does it happen even if you take the corner gently? or only if you’re takin it somewhat fast?
My buddy’s '91 LS made a humming… almost grinding sound during hard cornering coming from both rear wheels (left side when turning right and vise-versa). changed rear wheel bearings and it was fine.

I had a creaking/grinding noise coming from my right front wheel and it turned out to be a faulty axle. It broke one morning on the way to school and i had to get a new one. So beware…

I had the humming sound before during high speed around 80 kilometers, took out the whole wheel hub and the rod where you put the hub was completely dryed out, I had to re-grease it and it turned out fine…
