crower 403s.. the best?

well i’ve looked at what a few people said about the 403s, and i think this is good for my setup

i’m gonna be running on the stock ecu and stock valvetrain for a b18a. i want to throw in the 403s, get some cam gears, and see what kind of gains i get from them. AFTER, i plan on upgrading my internals, etc, but for now I want a power gain…

so if anybody has any questions/comments about my plan, please respond

AND also, whats the best place to pickup a set?

www.raceeng.com has good prices on the cams. I would suggest getting the springs and retainers also for added reassurance. Especially on a high mileage cars. www.summitracing.com has the best prices for the valves and retainers.

I’m gettin it all for my engine build. If your in CA, I think the 404’s might not make u pass smog and have a really irradic idle, whereas the 403 wil give you slight, but not too bad.

Good luck and tell us if you find the cams or valve springs/retainers cheaper anywhere.

i also agree with rcnacura…get the springs and retainers.
just think of how old the stock ones are:p

rcnacura: did you ever end up getting the cams from my reference?

and rcn did you ever get that b20 engine in and running?

teg92: No I never got them. I lost the email. I’ve been tight with money recently too because of school. No time to work. Do you have his email still?..oh nevermind I found it and he sold already. Oh well.

daver: No, not yet. money has been an issue, but I have been lolly gagging too because I wanted to wait till I got my car smogged b4 and I did that this weekend, so full speed now. I’m just waiting for more money to finish the top end with crower cams and retainers. Then I’ll be completely done.

I have the setup on whats going inside of it on my website. The link is in the sig. since I’m using a free webhosting site, some of the pages not might work, just press reload. Stupid geocities…
