cruise control button lights up, but wont engage? can i check anything liike fuses or could my modulator be bad?
There are many reasons why the CC does not work, a bad “Cruise Control Unit” is just one of them.
If the indicator light works then the fuse is good, fuse 24 -15A,[hot in run and start] in under dash fuse box.
For testing you will need a multimeter, you will need to find the “Cruse Control Unit”, test the leads…
Black/yellow- 12V+ when ign. switch is in run or start.
Light green- 12V+ when ign. and CC switch is on.
Gray- 12V+ when ign. and CC switch is on, no
power when brake is stepped on.
Green/white- 12V+ when brake stepped on, no power
otherwise.
Blue- Tach, use AC setting on meter to test.
Black- Ground.
Lt green/red- Ground when set/resume switch pressed.
Lt green/black- Ground when set/resume switch pressed.
Brown- CC actuator, no test.
Brown/black- CC actuator, no test.
Brown/white- CC actuator clutch, 12V+ when CC on.
Pink- Ground until clutch stepped on, [5 speed]
or when in 2nd, D3 or D4, [auto].

Hmm, when it gets warmer out, I might test mine…
