just came in today my new innovative auto to manual conversion mount. cant wait till sunday to put in some work so sick of it being automatic
Being automatic is not all that bad lol. They still have good torque and hill climbing power.
Yes i know the car halls ass its pretty quick. I just hate the no reverse part more lol. If i could have found a good automatic tranny i woulda left it automatic. But i cant gind one n i litersly have everything to swap it to manual so thats y im going this route
A bad automatic transmission is a good reason to switch it to manual.
I plan on doing the same thing if mine ever goes bad. 230000 miles and the fluid is still pussy pink lol.

i wish i just put the auto tranny in like 3 months ago and its already messed up pist me off it was good for like a month
my jdm 3rd brake light and jdm badge
new rear bumper primered and already repainted the molding
The fluid is pink because when I got it the previous owner had it drained and filled every 20000 miles.
I do the same mileage interval or unless I have to change an axle then I do it then too.
Mine does not shift perfect all the time, sometimes it will shift early and it pisses me off.
Mine does the same. But wen its wrkn good the bitch moves
I get early shifts usually from 2nd to 3rd.
Always wondered what causes it but I bet it is worn friction plates in the clutches.
So yesterday my standard motor blew i think. Radiater hose blew on the highway n now it wont start great just my luck. Anyways so today we did the swap and made my car 5 sp. Will post pix ina few
good work so far. how bout some pics of the cleaned up engine bay?
so i didnt take a complete pic of the whole engine bay but i will tom
so we removed the auto tranny
heres some of the parts
just another sunday lol
ripped out the dash
ma boy putting in the rear mount
mounted the clutch and flywheel
new rear innovative mount in
bota lift the tranny to the block
put a notch were we were gona cut a whole for the clutch cable
we drilled it out and ran the cable
mocked up the shifter
drilled the wholes to hold up the shift linkage
bolted up the shifter
put some of the platsics back on
new innovative driver mount
new innovative auto to manual mount
i will post more pix tom and after shes fully assembled
so the key was stuck in the ignition cuz i had to do a lil research on the wires to bypass to get the key out. so basicaly i had to splice the green and white wire on the ten pin connector . so instead of hacking up the harness i removed the plug from the actual shifter.
so i cut and spliced the two wires
so i sodered and taped the two wires together
i then covered them with some of the wire covering that was originaly on the wires
then taped over that
this is the connecter from the cars harnes
just plugged the plug in and the key comes out
now the key comes out and just gota clean up the car and finish putting everything back ogether
Very nice job indeed of not hacking your original harness up. Did you wire up the reverse lights?
I am watching everything you are doing in your thread in order to do my swap.
Are you planning on running a starter relay? I hear that eventually the automatic ignition switches or something quit working because they cannot handle the current.
