CTR 5 LUG CONVERSION on DA6

Just wondering if the JDM CTR 5 lug is a straight bolt on for a DA6. I:m having a heated debate with a buddy and he claims that the “CTR” is a straight bolt on; NO MODS/FABRICATIONS needed. And the ITR needs alittle conversion (machining, new bearings etc.). Is this true that the CTR 5 LUG is a straight bolt on. KNUCKLES, ROTORS and everything??? Please clarify this for us. Thanks in advance.

Not dirrect bolt on but some hellaflush fan boys around here will tell you it is.

i hope, for your own sake, you’re not referring to this thread:

you’re a funny guy

B16DA9 my swap was a pretty straight forward bolt up… only problem i had was with my rear lca’s …

straight bolt in for the rears, just re-use your lower control arms. the fronts i heard you have to take off the hub and sand grind it down and re-use your DA/DB knuckles.

im doing mines now i got ctr 5 lugged and its b.s. bro its not no bolt on i had to machine the hubs and reuse my spindals so it can sit rite the back are bolt on only thing i had to change was the rear camber kit cause the ctr are a little different the integra are curved up and the ones on the ek are straight i will see if i can get picks bro so you can see the difference also check the link this is where i went to do this its not from the ctr but from a itr still the same

Idiot’s ask: “Why can’t I just use the stock Type R knuckles or stock ctr and avoid all this machining?” The main reason is the difference in the curvature of the steering knuckles

If you use the DC2 knuckles, you’ll wind up with some pretty severe alignment issues in the front (massive amounts of negative caster and positive camber).
