94+ integras have the electronic speedo…
90-93 have the cable going to the tranny…
If I were to wire up a 94 integra harness…
( I have a complete 94 integra vtec harness. headlights to taillihgts and all the fuse boxes, relays, etc…)
and use the P72 ECM, then what the hell do I do with the speed sensor?
My cluster has the cable for the speedo, would it still read my speed??
Would it throw a speed sensor code because of the electronic speed sensor in the 94+??
OR say fawk it and try to fit the 94 GSR guage cluster in my dash?
OR is it worth it, to “chip” the 92 GSR ECM for 94+ values, and run it that way???
( because it has the same cable going to the tranny…)
This has been giving me a headache…seems so simple, yet I am making it so hard…
there is one thing i’m unsure of. Why the hell would you want to swap a 94+ wiring harness into your car? I’m not sure what the purpose of that is… what exactly are you trying to achieve?
I don’t see any good reason to put that harness in your car. For one thing its obd1, which means you’ll need a new distributor, injectors and maybe some other engine compartment things. And there are probably some other things that just won’t be able to wire up correctly without a lot of modifications.
oh, and that p72 won’t work with your b16a. The p72 is for the b18c1 which has dual intake manifold runners, your b16a intake manifold only has a single set of runners. So, for the p72 to work on your engine you’d need to have it chipped to have the dual butterfly program removed.
I have a 1990 shell ( no wires ), and I got the 94+ harness for free…
I am going to put in a 94+ B18C1 into it anyway, so I will have all the parts necessary.
Just wondering about the speed sensor stuff, as I have EVERYTHING else wired and ready to go…
I thought that with the 94 ECM that you would have to run the electronic speedo, without throwing a speed sensor code, and have the speedo still work…??
