Custom Exhaust quetions?

im planning to get my pipping done at a muffler shop but i had some questions about what kind of metal i should use and size of piping? any info or ideas would be helpful thanks.

MODERATOR, FEEL FREE TO MOVE, I DIDNT KNOW WHERE THIS WOULD EXACTLY GO.

most likely the shop is only going to have one type of metal piping. but as for the size go with 2 and 1/4 inch piping. because with that size you are not loosing too much back pressure and still letting out enough exhaust.:burnout:

hey integrared do you know any good muffler shops around torrance or hawthorne?? i was planning on going too Sweenies mufflers to get it done but yaa we will see

whathappens if i lose back pressure??

You lose lowend torque supposedly if you lose backpressure. This has been debated a bit though, I’m not sure if it happens or not. General consensus is that it does happen, but I’ve seen some people claim it doesn’t.

What are your plans for the car? If you’re thinking about boosting or building it up a lot, you might want to consider 2.5" (or larger if planning on boosting a lot).

no boost, going NA b18, i got more plans jess trying toget the bascs downfirst heh. thanks for the reply guys
