Custom Subwoofer and Trunk

check out my new setup for my custom-fit subwoofer box, and trunk modification. What do you guys think?

:gotpics:

Looks good…but do you not need any trunk space?

All I see is wood and complete lack of any speakers or amplifiers… The trick w/ designing a system like this is to retain the use of your spare tire and still be able to put a bunch of stuff in your trunk if needed. It can be done.

ya that is just the beginning pics for now… it started to rain as i finished the box for the sub. and i have no garage so it sux. Eventually it will be all carpeted.

Nice, thats similar to how i want to mount my sub. As flush in the floor as possible. Except i have no more factory spare, so i may get a full size spare.

looks nice cant wait to see what it looks like just be sure to have the right amount of air space if you want it to sound as good as it can.

Looking good so far. Can’t wait to see the finished product

Looks sweet! nice job. did you dynamat underneath or just put the box down?

I did something similar; however, I had a full fiberglass mold of the floor pan that I built off of. I was able to get 2ft^3 and have a stock looking trunk with the cover in place.

Im all for custom, but thats all good and dandy untill you get a flat.

But good luck.

I ran without a spair for years; in fact I have never had a flat. In that case, that is what the roll off is for… For longer road trips I do bring a spair, but I have never had to use it besides for moving around shells.
