Hey, i have seen alot of posts dealing with painting taillights, and or clearing them. I was looking to see if anyone has pics of taillights where the top half was painted candy apple red, or any other type of painting. im considering this look, but only if its nice.
This is a members car. The whole light was painted candy apple red. IMO it looks mad tiiiiight yo!

was the light painted from the outside or how???
I painted my both my taillights red except for the reverse lights, i left a small space, but i painted it on the outside with the Testors Translucent Candy Apple Red Paint i bought at walmart. Hopefully this can help you out.
That was Bane’s car on here. I bought those taillights off of him awhile ago. They are painted on the inside and were done by a local shop. They do look damn good. They are also rewired so the turn signals are always on. They still blink when you turn on the turn signal. A very unique look. I will post some pics later for you.

How were they rewired to make the blinker stay on? Same concept as dual filament bumper lenses?
Here they are, they look good on some colors and others they just clash, but on blue i believe they look pretty good.

disregard the reflection of the sky which makes them look purple on top; the whole thing is sprayed candy apple except for the reverse. 
…and mind the rear molding; waiting for rain to stop before i can paint, (the others are done i swear! :D)
it really depends on the car tho. I think orange looks good on some cars…
