So this happened while driving yesterday out of the blue. Saw a ploom of smoke out of the exhaust and engine just slowly burbled and died. Coasted back to my house to check some things out. Well first thing I did was remove the plugs. I’ll give cliff notes to make it easier.
- Saw that cylinders 1 & 2 were flooded with fuel.
- Switched from 275cc injectors to stock 240.
- Turned to ‘ON’ to prime and it didn’t sound like it built pressure. Checked pressure gauge, no pressure.
- Removed plugs, still fuel in 1 and 2. Siphoned fuel out, removed injector clips.
- Primed again and fuel still is getting into the cylinders and flooding them.
It does have a Walbro, as well as a Holley FPR. I know the injectors I put in were good, so I don’t see how it’s getting past. And it doesn’t do it on 3 or 4.
Any insight would be awesome.
