Cylinders 1 & 2 filling up with fuel.

So this happened while driving yesterday out of the blue. Saw a ploom of smoke out of the exhaust and engine just slowly burbled and died. Coasted back to my house to check some things out. Well first thing I did was remove the plugs. I’ll give cliff notes to make it easier.

  1. Saw that cylinders 1 & 2 were flooded with fuel.
  2. Switched from 275cc injectors to stock 240.
  3. Turned to ‘ON’ to prime and it didn’t sound like it built pressure. Checked pressure gauge, no pressure.
  4. Removed plugs, still fuel in 1 and 2. Siphoned fuel out, removed injector clips.
  5. Primed again and fuel still is getting into the cylinders and flooding them.

It does have a Walbro, as well as a Holley FPR. I know the injectors I put in were good, so I don’t see how it’s getting past. And it doesn’t do it on 3 or 4.

Any insight would be awesome.

Problem? Diaphragm in the Holley FPR was torn. So fuel was being pushed through the vacuum line into the port on the intake manifold, which is right between runners 1 and 2.
