sup guys i ust want to know how to install a rear bumper diffuser ON A 93 DA HAVE ANY OF U GUYS done it?? pis anyone or tips on how to??
Cut the holes. Mount the plate on.
Your shit better be rediculously fast to warrant that or you will more then likely get flamed for it being a touch on the ricey side. Just a heads up…
^x2
400+ on a b16 on 20 psi im good to go
i have 500+ and i would not get that done. but each to their own, like spikeymike said cut holes and mount plates.
Pics of car and specs or it didn’t happen.
I wouldn’t do it unless it was a dedicated track car… and even then id have a hard time. Looks ugly as can be, especially on a DA.
Make templates.
Mock them up.
Cut the holes.
Mount the plates.
Live with the fact that you ruined a completely good bumper.
lmao
there’s gotta be a nicer looking way to serve that function
^^yeah for sure.
Make some diffuser/plate that attaches to the trunk floor and rear bumper cover to block that gap. Now air are wont be trapped in the bumper cover aaaaand you dont have some super ugly holes in your bumper. That was easy.
I have seen a plastic plate thing for a eg civic before and I think it was on a heel toe web page. It bolted up under the trunk and went from under the bumper to the gas tank. It served the same purpose without even being noticeable. The rear bumper produces a lot of drag but cutting holes should not be your first option to reducing that drag. I would look at other options before you hack up a good bumper. I think someone should make a plastic or fiber glass under diffuser for our cars. Not just for racing but I bet it could increase gas mileage too.
Hey if it is good enough for Ferrari. Thats what they do to the whole under side of every car they make.
Real underbody diffusers are a great idea… better than ruining a bumper imo.
One purpose on those air holes is for look only not drag or track purpose. Ive always love those and i buy em for both my da. Its for look only. Lol. Also tbat red da with the air hole there is mine op. U buy em then u take off the bumper, measure and use a marker to mark down the hole, drill the hole and hold it down. Then use a dremel or drill to cut the hole then use a sander or sandpaper to sand it to make it smooth. Hope that help
underbody or just take the rear bumper off lol
Ugliest and dumbest thing you could do. Why?
gotta see pictures of this “400+ HP w/ 20psi,” because in order to achieve something like that, you have to have some, if not A LOT of knowledge on building a car.
Also, with all that knowledge, wouldn’t you know how to install something as simple as a diffuser?
…i wouldn’t do it!!!
this! because when you go to sell it…it just looks like shit 99.9% of the time
My vote is Defuser Plate. They look way better and do a better job of keeping the air out from under the rear bumper. Extreme Dimension has a universal defuser I believe. That is my input, but do what you want to do, Rice, Rice, Baby!
100% better!
