DA Color

Hey guys its starting to become nice in wisconsin(32 degrees)haha. and i was thinking about army green but i dont want to copy anyone on here if they have that color. Im going to do it flat army green or a green similar to it i think. So if you have a green DA let me know so i can think of some other color choices. Thanks, Swhangin

some cons about having a flat color is if you get dust or any imperfections while your painting it, your pretty much f’d. just because you cant polish flat. also if you wanna re paint a part of your vechile sometime fender, bumper, etc… you ll have a hard time matching the color because flat paint fades pretty easy. just thought id give you a heads up, otherwise hope it turns out nice. i kinda thought about doing your theme with black rims. good luck.

excellent info. i have never seen flat color in person on a car. This is my first integra and want it good the first time i didnt think about the sun killling the paint like that. But i would be having a professional painting it so i dont think that there will be any dust or stuff like that.

just make sure it gets clear coated (with a flat clear obviously) and you shouldn’t have to worry about fading

matte clear will fade, but the thing is you cant polish it back up like gloss clear. if you get something re-painted in the future, 6-12 months down the road, your color match will be off with a flat color. with clear coat you have the option to polish the adjacent panels. and you cant blend a flat color.

and it really doesnt matter who paints your car, your going to get imprefections in the paint when you do a complete paint job. just depends on how picky you are like me. i hope it works out great if you do it. just giving you the info of the bad things that can happen.
