yup powdercoated.
looks like fun!
not a fan of that blue one in so many ways…
I think I ditch my clear tail lights in 99;-)
Ya, I’m not a big fan of the exterior of the car either. But it does have good suspension and motor (built cr-vtec). The clear tails are better then altezza’s thou…not even close to 90-91 tails . Mine is the black Da thats my style.
What did you do to get the head lights on the black da so dark? Does it affect the brightness of the lights at all? Also, it kinda looks like there are two smaller headlight fixtures between the fog and corner lights in the picture with the two 2 doors facing front and the 4 door behind in the middle. It doesn’t look like that from the picture taken from above, though.
I always wanted some of those clear tails. But by the time I started having money to spend (years later) they disappeared. I’d rock those on my white da.
I painted it with about 4 coats of gloss black. It did not affect light output for me…Because those device’s you are seeing are projectors.
Pretty sure it would affect the stock bulbs light output, unless the paint was very very shiny.
Heres a few close up pics…
Thats cool. I didn’t know those lenses came off like that. I was thinking about painting mine but haven’t tried to figure out how yet. I probably won’t paint the whole area inside, though, because I got the normal bulbs.
Are you going to paint the inside of your fogs or is it not that simple?
Right on man.
Heat guns are an awesome thing . You just heat the glue up and the lens peels right off.
It’s the same process as the headlights. I was thinking about it. I wanna pick up an extra set and paint them, just in case it cuts light output by a lot. Then I can switch back.
