DA6 Integra project UK

i’m sorry my friend but i’m keeping all as i want to have original DA. need to restore all plastics especially from boot… thanks Peter

No I mean from wrecking yards mate not from your car

i wish mate, those cars are bit rare here and i’m lucky to have two of them which both will be restored some point. i source my parts from usa - like 3 piece headlights etc - and i think it is few of them in Ireland…
what parts do you need?!

I need the plastic pillars with manual manual seatbelts

ok will keep on eye on market and let you know if something will be available…

So whats the plans with these da’s then :).

xsi will stay as it is with B16 and black. will try to put her on road before july as i want to drive it to Poland for my holidays  if all go well and i will be back in september in UK i will try to sell her to get budget for DA5 - with this one i’m planning to purchase dc2 and swap all goodies do the DA - this will be the one to keep so i will build car for myself with some n/a power increase mods etc…
but you never know all might change as i’m never 100% sure what i want from my cars :stuck_out_tongue:

Sounds like a few good ideas :), not had my da long, good to see a few bits on what other uk owners are doing.

thanks mate.please post some pics here. have you been on shows etc with your da yet?! mine rebuild is getting along but need to take engine out for bay to be painted as well as whole body. any mods/plans with your teg?!

ok people. have been bit busy but not much with project, got daily routine going to the garage for at least hour or two…
got the engine out and wires and fenders - wire tucking begun  this is my first time so will go one thing a time as i’ve been looking around on web and if i fcuk up - i’m on my own
want to take few things out of engine bay and put inside the car - i think i will take a/c out at it seems to be nackered
i think i can manage wires but not sure about brake lines - don’t want to purchase kits as i’m on budget but only use what i have in the bay - is this possible, to bend those lines in red square through the firewall and connect them to ( not sure what this thing is called - in jdm it is on right top under the bonnet  is it abs ?! and if so - can i just delete that ?! - will take pics later ) where air con use to be ( pics inside with arrows ). it will be almost in the same place where originally - just inside the car…
here some pics

wet patch under the car is coolant

found that my DA6 have KONI suspension and s/s brake lines  so will be low to the ground

going all out a like it :), will have to let me know when its done a may visit :), wire tucks take time but look good when there done, you painting the bay also?

you may be able to use a eg none a/c cover for the a/c hole, or its a plate weld in job. On eg’s you can run headlight wires through the wing to the front, dont need extending that much like. People drill a hole close to the steering rack on civics and feed the engine harnes through that to hide it better. Then pull the cables behind the inlet to neaten it up etc.

thanks Lag, i think headlights tuck will be easy. want to hide brake lines under the dash and whole abs hydro control unit - if that what is called… will paint engine bay and whole body. i’m thinking to keep bit of contrast - will stay black for engine bay and paint rocker cover, brake master and bits and bobs in gunmaetal gray…

it will take a bit to finish this project but defo we can meet somewhere in UK to have a chat :manual:

Nice man! I didn’t even know there was a SOHC integra (or is this a swap). You have some sweet teggies there.
Any chance you can find a pair of headlights for me?

evening, don"t suppose you have a drivers inner wheel arch plastic spare? My teg deiced to spit one out on tuesday :frowning:

hey man, i have angel eyes if you are interested but to be honest those look ugly to me ( simmilar to those things - http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/2/4828/1461/24568230004_large.jpg ) i’ve had two pairs of single jdm headlights and swapped on set for 3 pieces with guy from g2ic as i want to drop k20 in ‘‘red’’ one and have plan to remove fog light from right headlight and use this ‘‘hole’’ as intake for k20  planning to build 2nd teg over winter if budget will be in place…

sorry no. i’m keeping both cars so do not have parts for trade/sale…

ok, engine bay empty and cleaned today ( washed ) and tomorrow will start sanding and prep for respray.
i though i will start restoring rubber and plastic bits of exterior and interior. here is example of 1 mud flap :

before :

washed:

bit of swissvax magic  50/50 in seal feed - very good for rubber bits, for plastic i will use pneu - will try to get more pics tomorrow

and finished product :

you sir need a new camera. But i do however like how the mudflaps came out, im sure the pics do not do any justice.
