hey, im very new to the forum and i just picked up a 93 integra about a month ago and its been great until now. ill turn the key and sometimes it lags for a second then fires up, doesnt crank slow or anything. but today it wouldnt start, or click. all the lights and everything work and are not dimmed at all. we decided to push my car in front of my friends house and as a joke he said crank it, and it started right up. any ideas where the problem could be?
i totally missed the car wont start thread at the top of teh forum, sorry. although input is appreciated
starter. main relay id check those 2
The main fuel relay will not keep the engine from turning over. Look to the starter relay ( under dash passanger side) or the starter. It could also be the ignition switch.
Good luck
check the treads as you said, but from my experiences i say ingntion. you replace the piece behind the key. the tumbler isnt contacting anymore. go to a junkyard and you could be good for however long or get a new one.
MFR- nope, as stated above
Starter relay - possible . i cant remember the location of it. if its the relay, you should be able to put the car in the on position in neutral and jump the starter. Jump it by using a small wire and touch it to the hot wire on the starter, to the switched wire on the starter. this way you are bypassing the relay.
Easiest thing to check first would be your ground wires. Especially the one on the transmission.
thanks for all the input, i checked the fuel relay and that wasnt teh problem so ill start narrowing it down to the tumbler, grounds and starter.
and the issue was ?
loose connections… everything in that aspect is good now hhah. anyone happen to know if the lower ball joints are pressed in?
so you mean loose starter connections or battery?
starter ground
