Has anyone ever swapped these? How did you get the old ones out? The new ones in? HELP!!!
I think that you need a press to take them out.
So a c-clamp won’t generate enough pressure to force them out? I was hoping I wouldn’t have to disassemble all that stuff!

no…you have to take the whole arm off and get it pressed out
Fortunately, I work in a machine shop, so I have access to a press. I’ll check with my supervisor tonite to make sure it’s o.k. if I use it.
i removed mine without a press.
here’s how you do it - take a 1/8" drill bit and drill a hole in the rubber part of the bushing. you can then stick a fine saw blade through it then saw around the circumference of the bushing.
-use this kind of jeweller’s saw:

you can then push the inside of the bushing out and you’re left with the outer sleeve. if you saw the sleeve open, it’s easy to tap out. then you can press a new bushing in using a 4 inch bolt and large thick washers.
I tried to cut through it, but didn’t get anywhere. Soooo… I proceeded to disassemble the control arm so I can take them to work and press the bushings out. Unfortunately, the bolt at the base of the control arm broke off! ![]()
So I’ll either have to purchase power tools to complete it, or bite the bullet and have it towed into Acura to have it fixed. That new RSX is starting to look better and better!
Ended up driving it to a shop a 1/4 mile away and paying them to do them. Bye, bye $125 bucks!
Car feels better though. I think I still need the ball joints though, still a little shaking.
