DB1 harness mount locations

i have a db1. i know about the rear seat belt mount locations for the top straps. but what if we used the child seat anchor points instead?

i would convert to manual seat belts, but its a bit harder to find them for a 4 door, cuz i want the pillar covers n stuff too… but dang, thats a lot of work.

I would think the child harness would not support your weight. Its designed for a child’s weight, and to be used in conjunction with the regular seatbelts in the back seat.

Maybe pull the rear seat, find the bolts that hold the belts in the center, and use those holes? Thats what I did with an old hotrod with a 5 point, but it was only temporary until I could get some decent stock seatbelts.

i already know of that location. i’ve ran a 5-pt harness when i had a da. but now that i have a 4dr… i actually kept the rear seats n belts n everything. i’m just very very tired of my automatic seatbelts. so i was looking for other options aside from running a roll bar with a harness bar. and i really do not want to get a cage.

i know all about the safety issues of driving with a harness and not having a cage/roll bar. if the roof collapses for any reason while i’m in it, the harness won’t allow for my head or neck or anything to move anywhere, and that wouldn’t be very pleasant.

jdm/cdm manual seat belts… harder to find for a 4dr. i prolly could find it, but with the plastics n everything… its pretty tough, and then its not all that cheap either.
