Db2 #552 for sale

not sure if this will be coherent, still in shock from the decision (very reluctant sale)

1992 db2 original black with original b17a1 and ys1/lsd 310xxx+km does not smoke(I on the other hand am a hard core chain smoker and loved this car soooo
much that it is the first of close to a hundred cars owned that I never smoked in!!! not when stuck in traffic or on week long road trips )
rebuilt status so not sure of importability to USofA rebuilt status due to damage over $2000 when less than 3years old ( drives straight and does not eat tires )
lowered on H&R springs, decent rubber on 17" rims, 3 layer steel headgasket, adjustable “blue” cam pulleys, leather Momo steering wheel and carbon fiber-ish shifter
$400 pioneer head unit w/remote, infinity & ???(clarion/pioneer???) speakers, wired for amplifier and subwoofer(amp&sub not presently in car)
NEEDS WORK
vtec filter … screens good but seal cracked …leaks oil
tie rods should be replaced
passenger side upper control arm bushing/bolt should be replaced
one inner,one outer CV joint,(of course on opposite sides)
(car has not been driven much in last 5 years and not at all in 15 months, last time insured, 15 months ago, after sitting for an extended period CVs started clicking)
the radiator was replaced with a slightly better oem looking aftermarket unit, due to a relative (not me as I usually check for things like this) in Colorado
closing/dropping hood on radiotor cap not closed but just sitting on filler neck…cracked the plastic filler spout … yay!!!( it took forever to find the crack)
distributor/ignitor? rotor spark plugs and wires have less than one oil change’s worth of KMs ( went thru 3 aftermarket cheepo and a couple of oem distributors
and built one that will take the rpm repeatedly…hint … spend the money buy the rotor retaining screw from Honda/Acura and dont even think of what it will take
to get it out and locktight that little bastard on the shaft as if your new distributor’s insides and your new cap and rotor’s life depended on it…
hhhmmmm… what else … there is lots more … but I am soooo not in the mood to keep writing …I will update in near future

stuff i remembered immediately after posting the above:
needs a driver side marker/turn signal lens… just the lens … passenger side is clear (driver side used to be clear too before an ex co-worker…and !!!
the guy drives for a living delivering downtown !!! and he didnt even tell me… that turdburglaring dirtbag oxygen thieveing waste of skin …)
power antenna motor is good needs a mast and outer trim ring?
soda-can diameter to palm size hole on passenger sill from repair when less than 3yr old and minor surface rust starting in rear wheel-wells
the style of rims only accepts stick on wheel balancing weights and of course spits them out when above 100mph/160kmph(of course only on private roads)
minor power steering leak, i dont remember if the LEDs in spoiler still work(they used to),A/C retrofitted to 134A(black car often in southern US)used to blow ice cold
clear-coat/diamond coat completely gone BUT on roof only(car still looks amazing and i guess you could just wax the roof often or re clear just the roof)
abs throws no codes although after sitting for over a year the drilled/slotted rotors are rusty as effyouseekay
what else what else there is still more good and bad …but I think i’m going to wash it and warm it up…

You’ve have a lot of details on this car its seems, except a value, I’m interested. But not going to low ball you or over spend. Pictures of everything would be nice to. But if I read right ( maybe it was on someone’s else post) your not totally interested in selling it soooo, no sence in asking anything I geusse

And to say that only 50 were made in the world is very very exaggerated. #1 considering yours is a #552 #2 Acura made 1500 a year from the info I’ve found

I have seen the car since I’m local and there is a lot of rust, there is nothing “minor” about it. It’s missing some interior panels as well. I’m not trying to hurt the sale in any kind of way but I just thought the info would help you get a little more information. The car does not have an LSD as the option was not available on any Canadian or American GSR’s.

the rust is indeed minor but i guess that is subjective, NO ONE HAS COME TO SEE THE CAR! it is not missing ANY interior panels! wtf!!!???!!! as a matter of fact
i have some extra interior items that i never used/needed as interior is original w/exception of one panel(pass.rear)that has been on since purchase,

on the otherhand i am being “gangstalked” and sabotaged + etc… which is forcing the sale so…your comments and motivation seem suspect (@least to me)

roughly 50 BLACK GSRs sold/built during both years of production, not 600,not 800,not 1500, less than 5000 GSRs total for US and Canada during both years
including red/aztec/white and black, black never having been available in US where the majority were sold. 600-ish for 1992 in canada alone inlcuding all colors

ys-1 is an lsd transaxle, canadian GSRs were no different in that than the US. ( you are right LSD was not an option lol it was standard/included/stock )

ps.: bmx-man… i think i remember some replies from you to my original ad… you never came to see me nor did you ever make a serious offer…
and if you happen to be the paseoguy with very similar replies : the parts do not interchange with a paseo and $300 is a laughably short lowball offer
i will not trade it for video games either…lol

This statement is 100% incorrect. It was not standard, it was not optional, it was simply not offered at all. The YS1 was never sold with LSD in North America. All North American YS1 transmissions, regardless of whether they were the short geared GSR version or long geared version in all other models - came equipped with a standard differential. LSD was however an option for JDM YS1 transmissions.

You really should post some pics of this car. Everyone loves a black GSR since they are fairly rare (I’d like to see proof of your statement that only 50 were made) but you can’t expect to get any serious attention without posting a LOT of high quality images which document the whole car inside and out.
