DB2 harness help

Anyone successfully retrofit a DC2 harness to fit a DB2, and link???

CerealKiller has one for sale in his FS thread.

There are a few threads that discuss DB2 harnesses and many have said that a 94-95 GSR harness does not work either.

Anyone else theses are good leads but was looking for a write up on how to make a jumper

Why exactly are you trying to put a DC2 harness into a DB2? And do you mean engine harness and/or main harness? Generally trying to swap harnesses like this is not recommended because it’s basically going to be the most time consuming way you can accomplish your goal, second only to custom building your own harness from scratch.

As far as I know there is no conversion harness available and I’ve never seen a write-up on how to do so either. You can make your own, you’ll just need to spend lots and lots of hours scouring the Helms manual for each car.

The want to put a dc2 harness into a db2 thought that someone figured out how to do it by now being that it’s 21 years old

Yes, but WHY do you want to do that?

The point is, it is MUCH easier to use the stock harness for the shell… Once you change the harness, many things will not line up or connect correctly.

If you are in a position where you have NO OTHER OPTION than to use a DC harness, yes it will be possible, with a lot of research/re-routing/re-pinning of the majority of the sensors and connectors.

As we already stated… There is a DB2 harness currently here for sale, on G2IC. Save yourself the headache and buy the correct harness.

If you have to ask for a write-up or a how-to, you might not want to tackle this project.

I’m far from a beginner, I’m just trying to get out without buying a new harness just thought this community would have tackled that task by now

Swapping harnesses from one chassis to another has never really been recommended…

But if you feel confident in doing it and have all the materials, it can be done. But not all plugs are the same, not all the routing, not all pin-outs are the same, etc etc. So you’ll likely have to do a bit of custom work.

At this point Imma just go ahead and find me a stock harness
